Qantas converts to Islam

"...QANTAS has removed   pork from its in-flight menu on flights to and from Europe as a result of its partnership with Middle Eastern airline Emirates.
No food containing pork or pork products will be served on those flights - which now has a stopover in Dubai - because it is strictly forbidden in Islam and is considered "unholy".
All meals offered on the route in first, business and economy classes will also be prepared without alcohol in keeping with the Islamic religion. A note on the Qantas menus on flights in and out of Dubai states that the meals do not contain pork products or alcohol. The airline has also introduced a mezze plate offering traditional Middle Eastern fare in its upper classes and has Arabic translations after in-flight announcements….”

That freedom above the clouds of which  Reinhard May sings
does certainly not exist any longer on Qantas flights:

Refrain: "...Über den Wolken muss die Freiheit wohl grenzenlos sein
Alle Ängste alle Sorgen, sagt man blieben darunter verborgen, und dann
würde was uns gross und wichtig erscheint plötzlich nichtig und Klein..."
My translation: "...Above the clouds Freedom surely is infinite
and all fears and worries, so they say, remain hidden below
and then, what we consider so big and important
suddenly seems insignificant and small.

The spin doctors are  talking about a “partnership”  between Qantas and the Islamic airline Emirates. I call it a sell-out. This soi-disant “partnership” is just a few weeks old and already Qantas has banned pork and alcohol and will only fly via Dubai, not a very safe place for Jews nor for gays I would think.  I wonder for how long the Irish and openly gay Qantas boss who sold this former pride of Australia to Qatar, would survive under islam?

With apologies to  Pastor Niemoeller : "First they came for the pork chop…."

Qantas, like certain suburbs of Paris, has become a no-go zone for me and from now on  it’s: SINGAPORE AIRLINES  ALL THE WAY!*
