At a time of rising antisemitism, when we have become increasingly exposed to the notion of dog whistles and tropes that are antisemitic, when there is a lively and active debate about this issue in the US, The New York Times International Edition did the equivalent of saying “hold my beer.”
You thought that Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s comments about foreign loyalty or “Benjamins” were problematic. The International Edition of the Times just said: “Let me show you what we can do,” with a cartoon of a yarmulke-wearing, blind US President Donald Trump being led by a dog with a Star of David collar and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s face for a head.
I didn’t believe the cartoon was real when I first saw it. Many of my colleagues didn’t believe it either. I spent all day Saturday trying to track down a hard copy. I phoned friends, I got a PDF of the edition, and even then I didn’t believe it.
I had to see for myself. So I drove to a 24-hour supermarket. There on the newsstand was the April 25 edition. I flipped gingerly through, fearing to see Page 16. And then I found it. It stared back at me: That horrid image of a blind US President Donald Trump with a yarmulke being led by a dog with the face of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Worse, the dog was wearing a Star of David as a collar.
This is what The New York Times thinks of us Israelis. Even if they subsequently said it was an error, they thought it was okay to print a cartoon showing the US president being blindly led by the “Jewish dog”?
And not only that, those who watched as it went to print thought it was fine to put a Jewish skullcap on the US president. Dual loyalty? No need to even wrestle with that question.
It used to be that we were told that Trump was fostering “Trump antisemitism” and driving a new wave of antisemitism in the US. But the cartoon depicts him as a Jew. Well, which is it? Is he fostering antisemitism, or is he now a closet Jew being led by Israel, depicted as a Jewish dog? We used to say that images “conjured up memories” of 1930s antisemitism. This didn’t conjure it up; this showed us exactly what it looked like.
The Nazis also depicted us as animals. They also put Stars of David on us. Antisemites have compared us to dogs, pigs and monkeys before. It used to be that it was on the far-Right that Jews were depicted as controlling the world, like an octopus or a spider.
But now we see how mainstream it has become to blame the Jews and Israel for the world’s problems.
The cartoon comes in the context of numerous similar antisemitic statements and “dog whistles.” In this case it isn’t only “the Jews” but also Israel “leading” the US president. The cartoon is clear as day. It presents the Jews, as symbolized by that Star of David collar, secretly controlling the US president. Trump is being led by Israel, by the Jewish state.
No other country or minority group is subjected to such unrelenting and systematic hatred by mainstream US newspapers. No one would dare to put an Islamic leader’s face on a dog, with Islamic symbols, leading the US president.
Of course not. The editor would stop that.
They’d be sensitive to this issue. They would err on the side of not being offensive. The night editor, the assistant editor or someone would say: “This doesn’t look right.”
Imagine the days when racists tried to depict US president Barack Obama as a closet Muslim. We know the tropes. So why put a yarmulke on Trump’s head? When it comes to Jews and Israel, there is no depth to which they will not sink.
And an apology after the fact isn’t enough.
This cartoon didn’t end up in the International Edition of The New York Times by mistake. It was chosen; it was put on a page by someone. It was checked and re-checked.

After the New York Times published an anti-Semitic caricature last week, an Israeli cartoonist has responded in the Makor Rishon newspaper with the title: “No Clarification Necessary.”
The response from cartoonist Shay Charka was a caricature of a dog as well, but this time, instead of the face of the Israeli prime minister, it depicts a book called The Protocols, an obvious reference to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an infamous work of fiction blaming Jews for a supposed conspiracy to dominate the world.
Around this dog’s neck are the letters BDS, the acronym for the anti-Israel “Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions” movement.
Being led by the dog in this cartoon is an individual with a copy of the New York Times in place of his head.
The attacks in Sri Lanka confirm we live in an era of barbarism.
"Here’s the most horrific thing from the barbaric assault on Christians and holidaymakers in Sri Lanka.
In the Zion Evangelical Church in the eastern city of Batticaloa, Christian children were gathered for Sunday school. Given it was Easter Sunday their teacher asked them a special question. ‘How many of you are willing to die for Christ?’ According to a teacher who survived what was about to happen, all the children put their hands up. The children then spilled out into the church grounds to play. Photos show them looking sunny and happy. Minutes later, an Islamist terrorist, who had failed to get into the church itself, walked among the group of children and blew himself up. Twelve children were killed. Many of their teachers were killed, too. Their crime was to be Christian.
Details like this demand an urgent and serious assessment of the phenomenon of Islamist terrorism. Because this terrorism, even by the historical standards of terrorism, is peculiarly hateful, misanthropic and barbaric. What drives someone to detonate a suicide belt while standing among children?
It brings to mind the suicide bomber who in July 2005 drove his car into a group of children who were accepting sweets from a US solider and blew himself up. Twenty-four children were killed. Or the female suicide bomber in Iraq in September 2006 who blew herself up among families who were queuing for kerosene. Try to imagine what happened next. A terrifying glimpse was offered by an eye-witness report in the Washington Post: ‘Two pre-teen girls embraced each other as they burned to death.’
It brings to mind the twin suicide bombings at All Saints Church in Peshawar in Pakistan in September 2013, when an Islamist extremist blew himself up among poverty-stricken Christian women and children who were queuing outside the church for a free meal, while his associate blew himself up inside the church where people ran to take cover. One-hundred-and-twenty-seven people were killed. And of course it brings to mind the Manchester Arena bombing of 2017, which faded strikingly fast from the forefront of the British political consciousness, in which an ISIS-inspired extremist blew himself up among parents and children leaving an Ariana Grande concert. The youngest victim was an eight-year-old girl. It’s likely many people in Britain don’t even know her name. It was Saffie Roussos.
These are only a handful of the thousands of acts of barbarism carried out by Islamist extremists in recent years. From the US to Europe, from the Middle East to the subcontinent, tens of thousands of people have been slaughtered by Islamist extremists. This terrorism seems to have utterly dispensed with the old rules of engagement. Its battleground is as likely to be a church or a school or a hospital or a queue of children as it is a piece of land claimed by an opposing military outfit. It follows no moral code whatsoever. Its defining feature is a glaring and terrifying absence of moral restraint. Anything is acceptable. Anyone can be killed. There is no code or rule or even basic human impulse that says to these groups: ‘Don’t do that. Not here. Not at a Sunday school.’
This means the new barbarism is very different to the violent groups that existed in the 1970s and 1980s. These outfits, like the PLO or the IRA, were usually, though not always, restrained by their own political motives and ambitions, contained and controlled by their own political beliefs. Their claim to represent a political outlook and a political constituency meant they tended to behave within a basic moral framework. Their claim to be serious political actors meant they carefully tailored and targeted their militaristic acts. Their acts of violence were frequently bloody, of course, but they rarely did what Islamist terrorists do today: seek to kill as many people as possible, ideally women and children, in a kind of perverse display of pornographic misanthropy, and with no higher aim than to devastate lives, communities and the human family more broadly.
For a few years now, some observers – not nearly enough – have tried to get to grips with the new barbarism, with this utterly unanchored, unrestrained, death-glorying violence. A 2005 New York Times piece titled, ‘The mystery of the insurgency’commented on Iraqi insurgents’ massacre of civilians and how historically unusual it was. This ‘surge in the killing of civilians’ reflects ‘how mysterious the long-term strategy remains’, it said. The writer arrived at a horrifying conclusion: that maybe there was no long-term strategy; that maybe killing civilians was the strategy, was the overriding aim. Death for death’s sake.‘Counter-insurgency experts are baffled’, said the NYT piece, because these civilian-targeting groups in Iraq had ‘developed no alternative government or political wing and displayed no intention of amassing territory to govern’.
Of course this changed later, with ISIS, which did amass territory. But even this contained within it ‘the mystery of the insurgency’, given that the Islamic State territory was defined by its perverse celebration of extreme violence which it recorded and distributed online. If anything, its territory looked less like a traditional state or guerrilla nation than a staging post for the internationalisation of ‘the surge in the killing of civilians’. A piece of land from which spectacles of deaths could be organised." (Source)

The 24th of April was the day of remembrance of the Armenian genocide by the Turkish land-takers. Could such a genocide of native Germans by invading land takers be imaginable in Germany too?
The Turkish genocide of the Armenians was the first state-organized genocide in human history. This genocide is also historically significant in its function as a blueprint for the later genocide of the Jews: the concept underlying the Armenian genocide of completely annihilating a people in the shadow of a world war served Hitler as a direct model for his own mass murder (quote from AH: "Who still speaks of the Armenians today?").
Copying the genocide of the Armenians seemed an enticing temptation to the National Socialists not least because the victorious Allied powers of the First World War had largely spared the Turkish perpetrators of the genocide and the murder of over a million people had not led to any consequences for almost any of the murderers involved.
This fundamental problem in coming to terms with the Armenian genocide, that the Turkish perpetrators - including Kurdish and Arab killers - escaped largely unscathed, did not only favour the repetition of such a genocide in the Second World War. The fact that the murderers were not condemned at the time still makes it easier for Turkish nationalists to deny the Armenian genocide as a whole: no trial, no verdict, and therefore no crime either, according to the logic of the Turkish nationalists.
In contrast to the genocide of the Jews, which was intensively dealt with including in juridical terms, the genocide of the Armenians has largely disappeared from the historical consciousness of mankind today, despite its direct exemplary function for the Jewish Holocaust.
One may lament this development or accept it with a shrug as it would probably not have had the slightest significance for our private everyday life if millions of Turks had not been settled in Germany in recent decades in the course of the policy of repopulation, a large majority of whom, as is well known, not only suppressed the Armenian genocide but even denied it altogether.
However, even that could be quite indifferent to us if this denial were not accompanied by a series of other thought processes that should make us worried: a lack of awareness of injustice, a lack of empathy, a lack of repentance. We should be worried about this because - as with every ordinary criminal - with a lack of awareness of injustice, a lack of empathy and a lack of repentance there is at the same time a lack of all mental and moral inhibitions not to repeat the deed.
At the end of this century about 120 million people will live in Germany, of which just under 20% will be Germans. The remaining 80% will be predominantly Islamic land takers, with Turks, Arabs and Kurds the dominant nationalities. Parallel to the proportion of the total population, political power will also shift to these three ethnic groups - precisely those three ethnic groups that planned and carried out the Armenian genocide at the time.
Just as in the late 19th and early 20th centuries of the Ottoman Empire, at the end of the 21st century a political-Islamic ruling class of Turks, Kurds and Arabs and a remaining Christian population, in our case indigenous Germans, will face each other in Germany.
Politically, this population constellation, as is already apparent today, will also be marked by the same lines of conflict as the late Ottoman Empire:
1. the invading land takers against native indigenous people, then the Turks who invaded Asia Minor against the native Armenians, at the end of the 21st century the Turks, Kurds and Arabs settled in Germany against the native Germans.
2) A Mohammedan ruling class dominating in state and administration against largely powerless Christian kuffars, at that time Turks, Kurds and Arabs as the power bearers of the Ottoman Empire against the Christian Armenians, in Germany of the late 21st century then also Turks, Kurds and Arabs against the rest of the Christian or enlightened Germans.
The question of survival for the Germans at the end of this century will therefore be whether the active perpetrators of then, the Turks, Kurds and Arabs, in a comparable ethno-political situation, will find a different "solution" to a conflict comparable in substance to that of the time. Or whether in a comparable situation they will also strive for a comparable "solution" - - especially since the past "solution" of simply exterminating the Christian natives did not harm them in any way and the broad masses, particularily the main responsibles, the Turks, never regretted this "solution" even afterwards.

Droht den Deutschen das Schicksal der Armenier?
Von W. SCHMITT | Der 24. April ist der Gedenktag des Völkermords der türkischen Landnehmer an den einheimischen Armeniern. Wäre ein solcher Völkermord eindringender Landnehmer an den einheimischen Deutschen auch in Deutschland denkbar?
Der türkische Völkermord an den Armeniern war der erste staatlich organisierte Völkermord der Menschheitsgeschichte. Historisch bedeutsam ist dieser Völkermord zudem in seiner Eigenschaft als Blaupause für den späteren Völkermord an den Juden: Das dem Völkermord an den Armeniern zu Grunde liegende Konzept, ein Volk im Windschatten eines Weltkriegs vollständig zu vernichten, diente Hitler bekanntlich als unmittelbares Vorbild für sein eigenes Massenmorden (Zitat AH: „Wer spricht heute noch von den Armeniern?“).
Den Genozid an den Armeniern zu kopieren, schien den National-Sozialisten auch deshalb als eine verlockende Versuchung, weil die alliierten Siegermächte des Ersten Weltkriegs die türkischen Täter des Völkermords weitgehend verschont hatten und das Ermorden von über einer Million Menschen für fast keinen der beteiligten Mörder zu irgendwelchen Konsequenzen geführt hatte.
Diese Grundproblematik in der Aufarbeitung des Völkermords an den Armeniern, dass die türkischen – auch kurdischen und arabischen – Täter weitestgehend ungeschoren davonkamen, begünstigte aber nicht nur die Wiederholung eines derartigen Völkermords im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Die damalige Nichtverurteilung der Mörder erleichtert es bis heute türkischen Nationalisten, den Völkermord an den Armeniern insgesamt zu leugnen: kein Prozess, kein Urteil, also auch kein Verbrechen, so die Logik der türkischen Nationalisten.
Im Gegensatz zum Genozid an den Juden, der auch juristisch intensivst aufgearbeitet wurde, ist der Genozid an den Armeniern daher trotz seiner unmittelbaren Vorbildfunktion für den jüdischen Holocaust heute zum großen Teil aus dem historischen Bewußtsein der Menschheit verschwunden.
Diese Entwicklung mag man beklagen oder mit einem Achselzucken hinnehmen, sie hätte für unseren privaten Alltag wohl nicht die geringste Bedeutung, wenn in den letzten Jahrzehnten nicht im Zuge der Umvolkungspolitik Millionen Türken in Deutschland angesiedelt worden wären, von denen eine große Mehrheit den Völkermord an den Armeniern bekanntlich nicht nur verdrängt hat, sondern sogar ingesamt leugnet.
Allerdings könnte selbst das uns ziemlich einerlei sein, wenn mit diesem Leugnen nicht eine Reihe weiterer gedanklicher Prozesse verbunden wären, die uns sorgenvoll stimmen sollten: fehlendes Unrechtsbewusstsein, fehlende Empathie, fehlende Reue. Sorgenvoll sollte uns dies deshalb stimmen, weil es – wie bei jedem gewöhnlichen Verbrecher – mit fehlendem Unrechtsbewusstsein, fehlender Empathie und fehlender Reue zugleich an allen geistig-moralischen Hemmschwellen fehlt, die Tat nicht noch einmal zu wiederholen.
Ende dieses Jahrhunderts werden etwa 120 Millionen Menschen in Deutschland leben, davon noch knapp 20% Deutsche. Die übrigen 80% werden mehrheitlich islamische Landnehmer sein, mit Türken, Arabern und Kurden als den dominierenden Nationalitäten. Parallel zum Anteil an der Gesamtbevölkerung wird sich auch die politische Macht auf diese drei Volksgruppen verlagern – also genau jene drei Volksgruppen, die damals den Völkermord an den Armeniern planten und durchführten.
Ganz ähnlich wie im späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert im Osmanischen Reich werden sich Ende des 21. Jahrhunderts also auch in Deutschland eine politisch-islamische Führungsschicht aus Türken, Kurden und Arabern sowie eine christliche Restbevölkerung, in unserem Fall einheimische Deutsche, gegenüberstehen.
Politisch wird diese Bevölkerungskonstellation, wie sich schon heute abzeichnet, ebenfalls durch dieselben Konfliktlinien geprägt sein wie das späte Osmanische Reich:
1. Eingedrungene Landnehmer gegenüber einheimischen Indigenen, damals die nach Kleinasien eingedrungenen Türken gegenüber den einheimischen Armeniern, Ende des 21. Jahrhunderts die in Deutschland angesiedelten Türken, Kurden und Araber gegenüber den einheimischen Deutschen.
2. Eine in Staat und Verwaltung dominierende mohammedanische Führungsschicht gegenüber weitgehend machtlosen christlichen Kuffern, damals Türken, Kurden und Araber als den Machtträgern des Osmanischen Reiches gegenüber den christlichen Armeniern, im Deutschland des späten 21. Jahrhunderts dann ebenfalls Türken, Kurden und Araber gegenüber den christlichen bzw. aufgeklärten Restdeutschen.
Die Überlebensfrage für die Deutschen wird Ende dieses Jahrhunderts also sein, ob sich die seinerzeitigen Tatvölker, Türken, Kurden und Araber, in einer vergleichbaren ethnopolitischen Situation für eine andere „Lösung“ eines in der Sache vergleichbaren Konflikts entscheiden werden als damals. Oder ob sie eben in einer vergleichbaren Situation auch eine vergleichbare „Lösung“ anstreben werden – insbesondere da ihnen die damalige „Lösung“, die christlichen Einheimischen einfach auszurotten, in keinerlei Weise geschadet hat und sie diese „Lösung“ in der breiten Masse, insbesondere unter den hauptverantwortlichen Türken, auch im Nachhinein nie bereut haben.
Kuwaiti new-age therapist Dr. Mariam Al-Sohel said in a March 25, 2019 interview on Scope TV (Kuwait) that she has developed an anal suppository based on the "Prophetic medicine" of the Prophet Muhammad.
Dr. Sohel claims that the new suppository cures homosexuality by exterminating the "anal worm that feeds on semen." Showing examples of the suppositories, she claimed that this treatment has been subjected to modern research and testing.
She referred to homosexual men as "the third gender" and to "butch lesbians" as the "fourth gender" and said that the new treatment "cures" both.
She also claimed to have developed a balanced diet as part of the treatment that includes plenty of bitter foods and root vegetables, the consumption of which she said increases masculinity in men. Dr. Al-Sohel was presented as a "Human Development Advisor," and on social media she identifies as a Reiki Master, and a member of Toastmasters International.
She said that she received an honorary doctorate in "Sex Management," homosexuality, and sexual harassment from the International Union of Universities in Turkey.
These are the people who make our cowardly and/or corrupt Western politicians go soft in their knees, a political ideology which we are not allowed to even question, let alone criticise and the future of our civilisation......
