AfD Representatives Accused of Being Nazis, Yet Again
The Federal Association of Jews in the AfD (*) responded to this affront on 24. January 2019 on their Face Book site with the open letter that I have translated below:

"Dear friends, dear colleagues, what happened in the Bavarian Parliament - we have no words for that. The entire Federal Association is deeply shocked by the enormous unscrupulous behaviour of Charlotte Knobloch, who, and let me say it directly,
!! Trampled on the countless graves of dead Jews in the name of today's mainstream agenda!
This woman has as much in common with Jews and neutrality in Germany as we have with the Islamic state - namely nothing at all! We, as JAfD, distance ourselves in the highest form from Charlotte Knobloch and her cohorts!
The occasion is Knobloch's speech in the State Parliament of Bavaria at a commemoration ceremony for the victims of the Nazi regime. In this speech Knobloch strongly attacked the AfD. Among other things she said: "This so-called Alternative for Germany bases its Politics on hatred and exclusion and does not only for me stand on the ground of our democratic constitution.
But the president of the Israeli Kultusgemeinde took it to extremes when she implicitly considered the possibility of a new Holocaust in connection with the AfD.
In the wording: "It is the responsibility of all of us that the unimaginable must not be allowed to repeat itself".
As a result, most members of the AfD faction, including faction leader Katrin Ebner-Steiner, had had enough and left the plenary hall. Only when Knobloch's speech was over did the deputies return. In the media, this incident is of course once again blamed on the AfD, despite Knobloch's crude verbal attacks and trivialisations at an official Nazi memorial service.
How dare you! Aren't you ashamed of yourself? This impertinence, this disrespectfulness, this stupid and infantile gibberish stuns us!
1. you have LIED MULTIPLE times to the German audience and acted as if we, the Jews in the AfD, were possibly not Jews at all. That is an insolence without equal. You will not determine who is Jewish or not. No rabbi will accept your statements as to who is Jewish or not. You are not empowered to do so and you know it.
2. you have LIED MULTIPLE times to the German audience and claimed that the AfD will create the danger of a new Holocaust. That is a ridiculous LIE!
3. At the same time you have supported the politics of Islamic, Islamist and Islamofascist immigration through the governing parties DIRECTLY e.g. through your patronage of the 'Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk für jüdische Begabtenförderung'. This institute distinguishes itself, among other things, by excluding (!) Jews and by LYING TO the German public! It falsely claims that most attacks on Jews are carried out by right-wing radicals. This is an outrageous lie and endangers the security of the Jewish Germans.
We expect you to behave in a JEWISH manner, i.e. stop LYING!
It has not only shaken us as human beings, as Jews, as Germans, as living beings, as relatives of contemporary witnesses, it has brought us to tears like nothing else could! In the entire career of many of our lives we have never felt so abused as in this moment!
That of all people, who had to endure so much suffering and sorrow, who had to watch their brothers and sisters being ga*ed and shot, you abuse these people in such a way for you shabby smear theatre, shows clearly: You have nothing in common with Jewry in Germany, but absolutely NOTHING!
Personally, I would be astonished if with your moral compass you could even find your car outside your front door! BE ASHAMED!
Let's be very clear: EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THE JAFD WOULD ALSO HAVE LEFT THE PLENARY HALL!
We thank our supporters, friends and colleagues for their unreserved sympathy and encouragement in this hideous matter!

On the 27th January, Prof. Dr. Jörg Meuthen, Federal Spokesman for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) published the article (translated below) alluding to the "Speech" by Charlotte Knobloch and commenting on the shameful exclusion of his democratically elected Party from the central Holocaust commemoration ceremony in the former Buchenwald concentration camp.

"Dear readers, today is Holocaust Memorial Day. A day of remembrance as important as it is right, a day on which we do not remember the many bright times in German history, but the darkest and most devastating chapter in history that has ever happened in Germany.
The memory of the monstrous crimes of the Nazi barbarism with millions of people murdered in the most abominable way by the state itself must continue, in remembrance of the innocent victims who were very predominantly of Jewish faith and who were persecuted and cruelly murdered by the Nazis solely because of their faith, as well as a constant reminder that such terrible injustice must never, ever really be repeated.
If some - fortunately not many - ignorant people want to see this differently, it may be covered by the great good of freedom of opinion in our liberal system. With such an attitude, however, they will bite on granite with me, and I say this of course also as Federal Spokesman for the Alternative for Germany for our Party.
Also bite on granite , however, will all those ignorant people in our country, and there are quite a few of them in Germany at present, who think they can associate our Bürgerpartei in any way with National Socialist and anti-Semitic ideas or communicate this slander to other people.
That is - in a word - simply shameful! Such things are as far away from our democratic party based on the rule of law, and also the opposition leader in the German Bundestag, as they are from any other reasonable person in our country.
Let me say to all these ignorant people: Our Bürgerpartei is not anti-Semitic; on the contrary, we are explicitly friends of Jewish life in Germany and affirm this with joy and without any relativization. It is also expressed by the fact that for some time now we have had our own Jewish association within the AfD. We strictly reject any kind of anti-Semitism; where it nevertheless occurs in individual cases, we take resolute action against it.
To exclude our party from today's central commemoration ceremony in the former Buchenwald concentration camp is therefore an abomination.
Such a thing can only happen if one refuses any reasonable dialogue with us and instead paints a distorted picture on the wall - or accepts a picture drawn by others without any checks that in no way corresponds to reality. Unfortunately, quite a few protagonists of the political-media complex in Germany do just that.
Unfortunately, Charlotte Knobloch, the former president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, also belongs to this circle. What she said a few days ago in the Bavarian Parliament about our party was consumed by bitterness and completely unreflected prejudices against us to such an extent and so unbelievably inaccurate that every AfD expert, including myself, was speechless with horror at all these insane misjudgements.
Only out of respect for Mrs. Knobloch's old age and her life story do I refuse to make a further personal assessment here.
Our Jewish party members, on the other hand, have clearly expressed their completely understandable, massive offence caused by Mrs Knobloch's speech. You can read their statement, which is also a Jewish testimony anno 2019, here. (I translated it above)
It is high time (not only for Mrs. Knobloch, but also for many others!).), to finally see what our party really stands for - for example, for fighting not only the disgusting right-wing extremist anti-Semitism, but also the incomparably greater imported anti-Semitism among countless, newly arrived people, who were predominantly socialized in the Arab cultural sphere and in doing so took the hatred of Israel and people of Jewish faith in with their mother's milk, so to speak - and for what we certainly do not stand for, namely all the attitudes that our enemies accuse us of .
This is only possible in an open dialogue - open to results as well - preferably face to face.
Perhaps in the year 2020 it will actually be possible for representatives of all democratic parties represented in parliament to celebrate Holocaust Memorial Day together. It would truly be time!
Time for a worthy commemoration. Time also for peaceful dialogue and discourse with each other. Time for the #AfD."
