The nasty TRUTH behind that UN Migration Pact

...and the two women behind it who, I suspect, use brooms as vehicular devices:

Angela Merkel and Louise Arbour.

1. My very  "short" version of the story (language warning):

This "UN Migration Pact" was created to cover Merkel's arse.

2. The "shortish" version of the story, as I understand it now:

Angela Merkel, when she abandoned all border control and let in 1.5 million unchecked (meanwhile grown to at least 2 million) mainly young males in fighting age of mainly muslim background, she became a criminal if "braking the law" does make one a criminal.  She broke the law, by acting so without any discussion with, let alone any agreement from the German Bundestag (Parliament).  She then continued to systematically act against the  EU (Shengen agreement) law which stipulated that asylum must be claimed in the first "safe" country of arrival.

Now that this second worst German chancellor's  "reign" is coming to an end, she is obviously anxious to legitimise her illegal actions after the fact.  And so, she concocted this UN Migration Pact with the eager help of  the Canadian UN Special Envoy for International Migration, Louise Arbour.

I believe that the reason Merkel is "resigning" in instalments - i.e. first just recently  as leader of her party but planning to quit her position as Chancellor only a few years later,  is that she wants to see this insidious and dangerous UN Migration Pact come to fruition.

The above is my personal opinion and if you accuse me of subjectivity and even of a certain animosity here, I plead guilty.

3. Here now is my translation of a more comprehensive version,  an article by German Journalistenwatch:

UN migration commissioner wants to give Merkel legitimacy with this UN pact

Angela Merkel feels the growing resistance and fights more and more fiercely for the UN migration pact. One ally in this is Louise Arbour, UN Special Envoy for International Migration, who wants the UN Pact to give Merkel legitimacy for her migration policy. In a frank  interview with "Die Zeit", Merkel's comrade confirmed that "the initiative for this came from Europe after the European crisis of 2015". And now it's not just Union (Merkel's Government) politicians who are wondering who in the German government launched this initiative.

As has been repeatedly suspected, the German government has obviously had the overall lead behind the scenes of this pact right from the start.

As Wolfram Weimer writes in an article on n-tv, under the chairmanship of German and Moroccan diplomats, politicians and various interest groups had met in 2017 and 2018 at several events of the "Global Forum on Migration and Development" (GFMD). With the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the GFMD had played a key role in formulating the Marrakesh Paper. On the GFMD website, the summit in Morocco is declared the " Highlight " of the "global migration community" for the establishment of "general principles and legally enforceable obligations" of migration.

"However, "legally enforceable obligations" are exactly what the critics of the Migration Pact assume and vehemently reject as the long-term goal of the Pact anyway.

Arbour: Anyone who doesn't sign is either a moron or a liar.

However, Arbour, like all Pact cheerleaders, announces that this is not a contract, i.e. not legally binding. The fact that this statement is simply a lie and that such "non-binding agreements", also known as "soft laws", become international law is illustrated by the "Paris Climate Treaty". Arbour - like Merkel - is becoming more and more aggressive in her tone towards critics of the pact. Countries that do not want to sign the Pact - such as the USA, Austria or Israel - are accused by this Canadian of either misunderstanding the text or of being dishonest.

As Weimer explains in his article, the tone of Arbour is no coincidence. Because, says Weimer, Louise Arbour is not only considered the "mother of the migration pact". The unmarried French Canadian is also a passionate political activist. For decades she has been pursuing politics on the subject of minorities and international law, drumming up support for the rights of homosexuals from a left-liberal perspective. Called "Comrade Louise" by her political opponents,  this "Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations" regularly attacks US foreign policy as well as Israel or her domestic government in Canada for allegedly not taking sufficient care of the rights of the indigenous peoples.

Arbour wants to give Merkel a legitimation pact for her migration policy

In 2008 the 61-year-old showed to what  mindset  she really belongs when she welcomed the entry into force of the Arab Declaration of Human Rights in its 2004 version, which - like the Cairo Declaration - places all fundamental and human rights under the reservation of Sharia law. Article 2(3) states: "All forms of racism, Zionism and occupation and domination abroad constitute an obstacle to human dignity and a significant obstacle to the exercise of the fundamental rights of peoples; all such practices must be condemned and efforts must be made to eliminate them".

It was only after severe criticism of this statement by Western states that "Comrade Louise" distanced herself from some of the statements of this declaration.

Now Arbour is standing on the "European opinion stages to enable Angela Merkel to make a legitimation pact for her migration policy possible", Weimer writes in conclusion.

German secret diplomacy fails

It could, however, be that she is only driving Merkel deeper into political problems. Parts of the Union, including Jens Spahn (*) , who suggested postponing the signing of the pact, have already taken up positions.

Merkel's and Abour's plans to bring their handiwork under the radar of the public to the point of being ready to sign have failed - thanks within Germany must go to the free media and the AfD (**). In addition to the USA, Australia, Israel, Estonia and numerous countries of the western community of states are now refusing to sign the treaty. A massive front of rejection is forming within Europe. Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic are just as unlikely to sign the pact as is Poland. Norway, Denmark and Croatia will presumably follow. Italy, Great Britain and Sweden are indecisive. Also Israel, China, Japan and South Korea will hardly ratify the pamphlet according to the current situation.

"A momentum has arisen whereby more and more states want to reject the pamphlet. German secret diplomacy is failing," said a high-ranking EU diplomat.

We learn that none of this is a conspiracy theory from a report by the dts news agency, which quotes Armin Laschet.

The state premier of NRW (Nord Rhein Westfalen) was once again unable to keep his mouth shut and, probably unintentionally, revealed a secret. Thus it slowly becomes clear why the Federal Government absolutely wanted to avoid the public discussing "their" devil's plan:

He now criticises the attitude of Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn in migration policy. "Because of his expertise in health policy, I supported him in becoming Federal Minister as a young politician. I think the overemphasis on migration policy is wrong", the CDU state leader told the "Handelsblatt" (Wednesday edition).

People expect solutions and not constantly new discussions. At the first regional conference of the three candidates for CDU party chairmanship, Spahn, who belongs to the Laschet regional association, questioned the migration policy of Chancellor Angela Merkel and demanded a vote on the UN migration pact at the party conference in Hamburg in December. Laschet rejected that.

"I consider it inappropriate to show the world that we cannot vote on it because a CDU federal party conference is taking place in Hamburg. Leadership means making decisions and then representing them offensively," he said. The CDU/CSU agreed that there was a need for more order in migration policy.

In Germany, Europe and worldwide, the UN has now drawn up a plan for this for the first time with German participation. "Finally", Laschet said.

If German politicians have been involved somewhere, that means nothing else but that they were in charge. The Chancellor's fatal decision in 2015 is thus to be legitimised, i.e. veiled, internationally after the fact. (SB)

(my bolds)

(*) Jens Spahn is one of the 3 candidates for the succeeding Angela Merkel as Party Leader.

  1. First don't be in such a hurry to call Merkel German's second worst Chancellor, she is still alive and this mess is far from over. Granted she has some stiff competition but she may surpass Hitler in evil before Europe is once more free.

Yes both women probably fly around on brooms when they are going somewhere. Even a short look at the migration pact shows that the goal of the pact is the elimination of the nation state and the elevation of the EU and UN bureaucrats to the position of rulers of the world. This one world socialist government and economy has been the goal of the left since the formation of the Fabian Society in Britain and will continue for many more Centuries.

We in the west have committed the sin of trusting our governments and this allowed the far left to embed their followers in positions of power. At the same time we allowed the far left to take over our school systems and they have gained almost total control, because of this we are facing a future of indoctrinated children rather then educated children. I don't think it is possible to overestimate the damage this is doing or the length of time it will take to repair that damage.

We have allowed the left to sow the wind and we will now reap the whirlwind that is/has destroyed Western Civilization.

  3. List of defectionss goes on, In Europe, Austria, Hungary and Poland (members of the Visegrad group) have already made clear that they were rejecting the pact global migration. The Czech Republic has followed suit, while Bulgaria and Belgium are considering doing so. Moreover, Israel has already withdrawn, as the United States did so from the end of 2017. Even the Swiss, who has yet participated in the drafting of the text and had to approve it with no problem, has done a volte face
Australia is also out now. :-)

Could countries like Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, with practical commonsense, and perhaps many small states, wary of being swamped, also be persuaded to declare their hand.
Then I believe most likely many others will also say No, not even to be neutral.

Funnily enough Saudi Arabia would say no, in fact many in the Middle East. or even Africa. :-)

I do wonder if there could be pressure through "quiet" sanctions by the UN, like less aid, in education, health, etc. or something could be held over them, to be at least neutral, or agree.

Perhaps it should be a 2 way street, where parts of other countries could be carved out into economic enclaves for ones who want to "go west" young family :-)

Thank you for all the work that you do in bringing these many facts and issues to us.

  4. Hopefully the “Yellow Jacket”, “Yellow Vest” movement picks up steam in France and Sweden. Burn down the government buildings at night. Storm the migrant centers and demand the economic freeloaders leave your towns, villages cities and countries. Now is the time to stand up and be counted before the United Nations ushers in the entire continent of Africa and the Middle East. Open your eyes and see how the 56 countries of the OIC killed and drove out non-Muslims who refused to convert to Islam. They are now in Europe and will conquer by the womb!
